Criminal is a 2014 film directed by DonValuta and distributed by The Mafia Films. The movie was co-written by DonValuta and ThecapcomFreak, and co-produced by TMF and Neverwakening Productions.
In Oppidulum, Alaska, a crackdown on the city gang escalates into a civil war between the police and criminals for control over the entire town.
Production[]
Originally, ThecapcomFreak had put into production a new film titled Criminal that would focus around a group of gang members who start a civil war with the cops. Originally planned as a pseudo-comedy/action flick, the film ultimately was cancelled. Later, ThecapcomFreak released the footage he had filmed. Discussions to continue the project came after ThecapcomFreak gave away the film's rights to TMF in mid-2013. Ideas were floated to have the film be centered more on a police-gang conflict rather than focusing solely on the criminals.
After the release of PayDay For You and Me in 2014, DonValuta announced that TMF was moving forward with the film project. On March 19, the film's official title card was released, as well as the first casting news. On May 6, set construction had begun as well as principal photography for the film. On May 28, DonValuta recasted roles to Bobtheclumsyman and Rick120. During filming, more characters and scenes were added to bring more character development to the characters.
On June 12, TMF revealed the film premiere for Criminal to be on the 15-16th of June, however, this date was missed. TMF rescheduled the release date to June 29 to complete more scenes and filming sessions. After a two day delay, the film premiered on July 1, 2014.

Trivia[]
In the opening credits, it states that the film is based on "Criminal" by ThecapcomFreak. This is technically an error because it is the same project that ThecapcomFreak was helming.
Both incarnations of Criminal were inspired by the Eminem song of the same name.
The line "Viva la Revolution" (said during the attack on the police station) was first uttered by Popsfootloose949 during the filming of the scene, during which he drove one of the jeeps. The line was added by DonValuta as an easter egg.
During production, Zanderman222, RyanA17, Faave, Bobbysayhi, and HilariousCoolkat were fired from the film, however, some of them were able to keep their respective roles in the credits.
