Hello everyone, it's been a while since I last did a blogpost, on either here or my seperate review site, which is heavily inactive. People have been doing lists of movies that are for whatever reason, their most anticipated (or in the case of CosimoValuta, best picks for the BLOX Awards).
So I decided to jump on the wagon too, so let us begin my list for my Top 10 most anticipated movies of 2014. I should warn you though, there are differing opinions present *Chainsaw noise in the distance*...
10. Hero's Pride - routess
I haven't know young routess for all that long, but I've seen plenty of his works and I now, at this very moment, know him enough to believe that with this series, we can expect something special- that and like routess I watch alot of anime like Fairy Tail and Attack on Titan, yeah sorry Cap, its the unrealistic stuff for me.
I have, at this point, yet to watch the first episode, but I look forward to doing so!
9. Voice of the Realm - Zyphra
*Pistol clicks in the next room* (Gulp) Hear me out on this. I admit, the first episode was abit flat, but the second made up for it by a fudge-ton. But, I'm not going to say its restored alot of my anticipation, there is still a ton of improvement work to be done, but I think Zyphra has the capability of improving upon her mistakes. I mean watch these episodes back to back, first episode... meh, crummy editing and the cutscene flies too fast, second episode, almost none of these things... maybe still a few pacing issues here and there, but nothing that cannot be fixed upon.
In my opinion, Voice of the Realm could potentially become the Game of Thrones of Robloxiwood... well it kind of is Game of Thrones, but more.... blocky?
Hmm...
8. Gary Bush: The Shadowmoon - LordCrossfire82
*SWAT team bursts through the windows and doors pointing their guns at me* ... ... ... Before you lock me up forever, guys... please... just please... hear me out...
As much as I anticipate this movie to be good at the very least, I'm not going to act all defensive, while the trailer to it looks promising enough with the lighting, camera angles and voice acting, I'm not going to deny that the tree on the hill in the trailer and poster is clearly ripping-off Dream Clouds... then again that might not be the case anymore, and I think this is the main reason why I look forward to this movie.
Because recently, Kris wrote a blogpost about how the movie had been delayed due to some rewrites, which is new to me atleast, because normally from what I could gather, he'd just write a film down, sprinkle in some unneeded Vortex Security nonsense and BOOM... first draft done and its what he's going to make... not this one, rewriting the script from the beginning could possibly mean that maybe something in the original script didn't quite work with him so he decided to change it, maybe he finally began thinking like a real writer would, looking at the writing like...
"Huh... OK how does that go? Oh OK, no good lets change tha- no, no thats not good at all! OK startover!"
Atleast thats what I want to believe and choose to believe, hopefully that's what really happened. But who knows, maybe this movie will suck a thumb, and I'll have to let the SWAT team here take me in..
7. Defiance - Olliekins
From what I can gather, its supposed to be the reboot to Destruct Fire, in fact it is... I only saw the original once, which was a while ago, I remember liking it alot back then, I'm sure age will've caught up with it like with War of the Raiders and Game of Gun, but it will hopefully still be a nostalgia-filled viewing. Thankfully I never saw Roaring Fire, which is what killed the franchise, so naturally a reboot was put in and out of production.
Now why is this a movie I am highly anticipating this year? Simple! I'm in it! LOLJK that's not the reason! But the reason is simple: Ollie hasn't done a proper action movie in quite sometime, now of course I'm not saying the fact that he's doing an action-packed superhero movie is the main reason I anticipate this movie so much, its that during the period of time after the original Destruct Fire was released, Ollie has shown a steadly climb in the qualities of his filmmaking techniques and storytelling capabilities, with his Friendship Trilogy and the upcoming movie Taylor, which I will be moving onto next since its the #6 spot with another movie.
6 and 5. Taylor and Psychosis(JDCU) - Olliekins and BenIsLegit
Putting it simple: these two directors and two movies simply to me, seem to intriguing to ignore and not get exicted for! Ollie having proven himself with drama (even if maybe some of the writing was kind of sloppy) I believe is more than capable of giving us something memorable with Taylor, the trailer could've been alittle better in my opinion, but I'm not one to judge like other higher-ups do... achem.
The fact that these two movies take place in the same universe also intrigues me, because you have Taylor, which is pretty much a School-based dramatic-comedy and Psychosis, which is... a dramatic-comedy... but also horror. I would be lying if I said "The poster doesn't remind me of Psycho..." because it does!
Simply that has my curiousity, these movies will be getting my attention, if Ollie and Ben decide they aren't going to flunk out because of... achem... anyway, I look forward to them, simple as that... moving along!
4. Criminal - CosimoValuta
... ... ... ... *Cricket chirps* (Looks around) ... ... ... ...
Don't look at me like that! Just listen to what I have to say... I do not criticise Cosimo's work, I'm always truthful, it just seems that since my review for Payday For You and Me, people- Cosimo himself included, and wanted nothing to do with me, and according to my Directors article, we've been at each others films, slamming them since Currency... guys, that's not true at all! I loved An Ordinary Job Interview, it was awesome!
I don't know about PDFYAM, I guess part of that is because I hyped myself up for it too much and... I guess also because Knightfall had just started coming out the week before then so... yeah, I guess I wasn't tuned into 'Arthouse Mode' if that makes sense.
But that doesn't change my personal view of Cosimo's cinematic style, I still look forward to his works... even if they are starting to look the same at this point. Criminal... the title alone grabs my attention, its literally the sort of film TMF was founded to make... actually I believe it will be, because when Cosimo was believe to have retired, he sent me a copy of the script, which I enjoyed reading. This script... what can I say?
Mad even had a read, he believes this could possibly be Cosimo's best movie to date! So when Cos came back, I admit I was kind of frustrated because I... kind of wanted to make Criminal in his place, but I was also glad because, now I can see this thing come to life... its like when I read The Hunger Games books, I am always interested in how certain parts would be translated onto the screen. This movie is definatley something I shall be checking out opening night... even if Cosimo wants to still have a go at me for what I just said about him.
(Gulps)...
3. Orbital Providence - Zilex1000
Two major reasons... Science-fiction... its directed by Zilex1000... this is a new genre for the guy! I look forward to seeing how this experiment turns out, and I'm hoping it will be marvellous, or it could be Zilly's first bad movie, but who knows... we won't know unless we watch it for ourselves, which will hopefully be soon.
That's pretty much it, nothing else to say.
2. The Dark Knight: Knightfall - TheFallen123
Yeah, is this a surprise to anyone at all? If not, leave this post and go and catch up with things in this community! Now of course, at this point Part 1 has already been released, along with a couple of trailers and clips for Part 2... and what can I say? Fallen didn't dissapoint, Hyperblue didn't stain his name, nor his company, and Part 1 is solid proof of that!
Which is why I am so eagerly excited for the remaining parts, because that ending from Part 1... I had no nails left... if fact I doubt they'll ever grow back. If Fallen is able to keep up with what he did in Part 1 for the remaining parts, I think we might already have the #1 Best movie of 2014 right here!

1. Hyperblue (Reboot) - ThecapcomFreak
That's right, despite looking at this movie as friendly competition with VS: The Common Enemy as the "Movie of the Summer", it is my most highly anticipated... the reason simply because, the original was... how to I put it... problematic, its pretty much the 2003 Hulk movie.
I have faith in ThecapcomFreak in bringing this character to the Youtube screens as the character I believe Fallen had intended him to be... hopefully without shoehorning in Danny Park atleast... and hopefully we will be able to see what the heck is going on as well.
I remember, when I first heard confirmation that ThecapcomFreak was going to be directing the reboot- baring in mind this guy directed Darkvalk, Breathtaker and my personal favorite... Rescind II, so immediatley I was like... "Interesting... that's very interesting... ... ... I WANNA WATCH IT ALREADY!" This is exactly what we need, and I hope it is! I believe in Capcom and I look forward to this movie with such anticipation!
Of all ThecapcomFreak movie's I've seen I have yet to see a legitimatley bad one... lowest grade for me at the moment is Cthulhu, but even that movie I consider good! I hope cap delievers the same storytelling abilities and likeable characters like he did with The Rescind Trilogy and make something that is totally epic!
...Also so I can make something that will out-do him MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA *Fire fills the room*

That last part was I joke, I do not wish to risk ruining the quality of TCE for the sake of making a movie better than what Cappie has to offer. But I will be honest, the honor would be nice.
So yeah, those are my Top 10 most anticipated movies of 2014! Hope you enjoyed this list, also remember any criticisim at all, please keep it constructive, and make sure you criticise it in a way that makes sense, so I can improve, don't get all poetic and use big words please.
